Hi, I’m Nicole!

UX Reseracher/UI Designer | Fashion Merchandising, Sales & Management

I started my career in fashion and worked my way up from sales to management. I take a creative approach to business needs while always keeping the customer in mind.

More about me…

I have worked in a customer service role for 12 years - the past 10 in retail. In 2012 I moved to Dallas, Tx to attend Wade College. For the next three years, I learned about fashion and retail from garment construction to business law. I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Merchandising & Design with concentrations in marketing and management.

After graduating I moved back to Austin and continued my retail career, making my way through management positions in visual merchandising and store management.

In 2020 when the pandemic hit, the company I was working for shut down and I was left with a decision to make. I thought about what made me love retail but also what was missing. As I moved higher up the smaller my creative outlet became. I realized I wanted to continue to help businesses advance using my strength in creativity and desire to serve people.

In July of 2020, I started a rigorous UX/UI bootcamp through the University of Texas at Austin. In following 6 months, I immersed myself in the acquisition and application of a multitude of new skills and knowledge about user research and design.

I’ve since then started a few new roles. I’m a teaching assistant for that same bootcamp that I went through; helping students with their journey into the UX/UI world and still learning more each class. I have an internship working for a small company with their first app. My full time job is a customer service agent at Stitch Fix where I not only help clients, but stylist and warehouse associates. I also get to be a direct source for clients to leave feedback and turn that into actionable improvements for other teams, as well as flag any trends I notice throughout our platforms, with our clients and my other workers.

With the boost in design skills and my strong background in retail and marketing, I’m ready to create empathetic, creative, and impactful solutions for people and businesses. I’m currently interested in a full time role.
